Tyres/Fitting
Titan Distribution sells agriculture, construction, ATV and mining tyres both to the aftermarket and OEMs. The operation based in the North of the UK has customers throughout Europe, Turkey and the Eastern European countries including Russia. Titan Distribution has a long history of servicing customers needs with tyres manufactured predominantly in the USA but manages the logistic supply chain and after sales service for the customers. (For more information on the range of products available, please check the Titan International website at www.titan-intl.com) Supplying the wheel and tyre as a complete assembly ready for line-side fitment saves time and expense to the customer. Thanks to the two Italian tyre-fitting plants, plus an additional German facility, Titan has the capacity to assemble in excess of 2000 wheels and tyres per day. Bespoke specialised equipment is used for assembly, and the complete inflation cycle takes less than 10 seconds. Tyres are supplied by manufacturers, held as consignment and used following a First In First Out stock rotation process. A sophisticated logistic system is totally integrated with the manufacturing process and gives the flexibility to meet daily requirements for fitting wheels and tyres and delivering these on schedule to the customers assembly track. This flexibility helps Titan manufacture cost effective, quality wheel and tyre systems across Europe. Safety and Service Recommendations Tyres and rims require regular maintenance and service by trained and qualified professionals. There are numerous national, local and industry standards which give instruction and advice on the correct procedures to follow. These procedures are normally incorporated in machine service manuals and operators’ manuals. All service operations must be performed only by qualified personnel, appropriately trained: they have to follow the correct procedures, utilise proper tools and equipment and take all the necessary safety precautions. For reference please see the EUWA (Association of European Wheel Manufacturers) safety and service recommendations which can be found at www.euwa.org (follow safety information, safety/service link). Please note, as quoted by EUWA, that ‘it is a mandatory rule for safety reasons that, before starting to unbolt the tyre-wheel assembly from the vehicle axle, the tyre must be fully deflated’. In the case of a twin (dual) assembly both tyres must be fully deflated. If any further information is required then please do not hesitate to contact us at info@titaneurope.com. ![]() |
